We have an axiom that we use to coach our athletes as well as our business leaders and entrepreneurs: Performance = Potential-Distractions. In others words, to perform at your best, you can simplify the process down to maximizing your potential or talent (playing to your strengths) and minimizing the distractions. Often, I see some of the best competitors and leaders get caught up in a web of distractions that can destroy the opportunity to give their best.
