3 Characteristics of Lifelong Learners:
- Vulnerable: They are willing to say I don’t know and ask “What do you think about that?”; They gather information from other sources to get to the best answer versus just relying on themselves for the answer.
- Curious: Ask the right questions, and have a sense of wonder about how things work.
- Committed: They are committed to the process of learning and seek a depth of knowledge in the things they are interested in even when they have a mastery of the material.
Key Questions:
- Are you open to learning and growth?
- Are you seeking the right sources of knowledge and truth?
- Are you willing to go further even when you think you have arrived?
The best leaders set the tone about how important learning and growth are, and they don’t just say it…they show it by learning for a lifetime themselves.
