How are you realizing the possibilities of the people you lead and influence and maximizing their potential? It is a great question to ask whether you lead a team at work, at home, or in your community. All of us have influence and are involved in relationships and connecting with others, so we must focus on possibilities in order to build productive connections with people.

In today’s podcast episode of Monday Morning Moments, I share one of my favorite quotes on leadership by Benjamin Zander, former Conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. I also talk about 3 A’s to help you focus on becoming a relentless architect of the possibilities of the people you lead and influence.

Show Notes:

  • “I set as the goal the maximum capacity that people have – I settle for no less. I make myself a relentless architect of the possibilities of human beings.” – Benjamin Zander
  • 3 A’s:
    • Acknowledge the possibilities and potential of others.
    • Architect their environment to help them thrive.
    • Activate their performance.
