Be strong and courageous! We hear that so often from coaches, leaders, our parents, teammates, and friends. It is communicated in different ways, but the central message is the same: Do not fear, and be courageous!
The Bible has a lot to say about dealing with fear, doubt, and anxiety, and God communicates the very same message to leaders throughout the Bible not only as encouragement but as a command. See also the conversations He had with Moses and Joshua in Exodus 3 and Joshua 1:9. I think we can often misconstrue His command as something we have to do on our own. It’s almost as if we miss the last half of the sentence where God gives us the key to being strong and courageous, which is in and through Him. The truth that He is with us preparing the way and being present every step of the way should give us hope and trust that we can be strong and courageous in every moment.
I pray today’s podcast episode of Monday Morning Moments encourages you to be strong and courageous in whatever you are doing and pursuing and reminds you of the key to this mindset.
