Great leaders edify and encourage others. They build others up and help them to become all that they were created to be. They encourage, or literally give courage to the individuals on their team to maximize their potential and unleash their talent.
In today’s podcast episode of Monday Morning Moments, I share a challenge to consider your sphere of influence and edify and encourage the people who are affected and impacted by your presence.

Show Notes:
Great leaders edify and encourage…they are not called to be critical and discourage!
Edify – to build up
Encourage – to give courage to
Key questions:
- Who are you encouraging?
- Who needs encouragement?
Other Points:
- Everyone needs encouragement in some way.
- Even the Michael Jordans need to be encouraged.
- Even for people that you think have amazing confidence and courage, you may think they don’t need edification and encouragement, but they do.
- Find someone today and this week to build Le up and and give courage to through your words. You may never realize what that means to them and how it might impact their day and the lives of those that they reach through their sphere of influence.
